We are a family run company registered and living in Malta, specializing in renting quality properties in the Maltese Islands to holiday makers. This website provides a cost effective way of allowing guests to book directly and stay in quality, hand-picked properties, at lower prices than if they were booking through a travel agent or tour operator.
Buena Vista Holidays does not own all of the properties. We are property managers dealing on behalf of owners offering their properties for holiday lets.

Searching for a Holiday Home
When searching online with your desired travel dates only the available holiday houses and apartments are displayed in the search results. If you’re searching without any dates, you can use the availability calendar on the property details page to see when the holiday home is available and for how long.
Rates of properties vary depending on the time of the year and sometimes by the number of persons staying. You will find the nightly rates in the “Rates” section on the property details page. All rates are in Euros.
In the search results you can use the interactive map on the left hand side to see where the property is located. There is also a Map at bottom of the property details page where a pin indicates the location of the property.
Normally a minimum 5-night stay is required. Some properties may accept shorter stays (3 nights), especially during the low season. Please refer to the individual property page for more information. A cleaning fee may apply for stays of less than 5 nights.
Heated pools are only available when stated in the relevant property description.
You can book your accommodation easily in one of three ways: via an enquiry directly on our website (www.buenavistaholidays.com), by phone (+356 7939 6674) or by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will need the following information before we can give you a quotation:
- Property ID or Name
- Arrival Date
- Number of Nights
- Number of Guests
We will require a 35% deposit of the total rental amount before we can confirm your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us.
We offer service and style of a boutique hotel with the comfort & privacy of a home. Generally all of our properties come with FREE WiFi, Cable TV, bed linen, towels, iron and iron board, hair dryer, kitchen utensils and other amenities.
Furthermore, each property has its own additional services, for example cots, highchairs, buggies, etc. Most of the additional services can be booked directly in the booking process at an extra cost.
Our local staff will be happy to help you and recommend additional services and excursions during your stay.
Yes, it is possible to book for longer than four weeks. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
After booking you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing your booking details. If you did not receive your confirmation e-mail, please contact us.
Yes we can organize your airport transfers at a charge. For prices please contact our Customer Service team. Transfers should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
We accept payments by Credit Card (VISA or Mastercard), PayPal and Bank Transfer. We only accept payments in Euros.
A down payment of 35% of the total rental cost is payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be settled by no later than 4 weeks before the start of the rental period. If you book your accommodation less then 4 weeks prior to your arrival date, you will have to pay the total rental cost immediately.
You can cancel your booking by phone or e-mail. Your cancellation comes into effect on the date of receipt of your notification.
After you make your booking, you can cancel it within 24 hours and receive a full refund. If you cancel your booking before your check-in, you will lose the initial deposit paid. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out Travel Insurance.
Yes, it is possible to change your booking, as long as the desired holiday house/period is still available. There may be a fee to change your booking.
Before your holiday
Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided at all of our properties. Upon request we can also provide beach towels during the summer period. There will be 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel each for the number of people staying in our properties.
Generally, all of our properties come with an iron and ironing board.
Generally, all of our properties will have a hairdryer.
The electric voltage is 240V throughout the island, and the plug sockets are the same as the 3 pin type used in the UK. We suggest you bring travel adaptor plugs with you if you are not traveling from the UK.
Almost all of our properties come with a Cable TV package with over 70 channels and these are mainly a mixture of English, Italian, Maltese and other European channels. Popular English channels like CNN News, Euro News, BBC News, Disney channel, National Geographic, Eurosport, etc are included in most cases. If this is of importance to you, please check with us before making a booking.
During your holiday
Check-in time is from 15:00hrs on the date of arrival and check-out time is by 11:00hrs on the date of departure. All of our properties carry a late check-in fee of Eur 35 for arrivals after 9:00pm.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability, and would need to be confirmed by the management prior to arrival. Extra charges may apply.
All information and contact details will be sent to you a few days prior to your arrival. We will meet you in front of the property for the check-in or better still, book our Airport Transfers and the driver will pick you up from the airport and take you straight to the property for the check-in.
Yes, you will be required to pay a breakage deposit upon check-in. This will held by Buena Vista Holidays against the possibility of loss or damage to the property and contents. The security deposit will be fully refunded during the check-out subject to a clear inspection.
As from June 20, 2016, the Government of Malta has introduced an Environmental Contribution. All revenue generated from this initiative will be used to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands.
Those older than 18 years of age are required to pay an Environmental Contribution amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for holidays in Malta and Gozo. The contribution must be paid separately on arrival to your booked property and is not included in the property rate charged.
A thorough cleaning of the accommodation is arranged before and after guest arrival. Guests are however expected to take the trash out and leave the property in a decent condition. Failure to do so may result in additional cleaning charges.
After your holiday
If your complaint cannot be solved during your stay, you must present your complaint within 2 weeks of the end of the contractual rental period. The following contact options are available for contacting Customer Care.
